Datong’s Cutting-Edge Technologies Support Construction of the Xiamen–Kinmen Bridge Forging a “Golden Corridor” for Cross-Strait Integration
As a flagship project under China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, the Xiamen–Kinmen Bridge (Xiamen Section) is progressing rapidly. Spanning the waters between Xiamen and Kinmen, the project serves not only as a symbol of cross-strait connectivity but also as a showcase of China’s advanced bridge engineering capabilities. Datong has secured the contract to supply two core structural technologies, providing essential support for the bridge’s long-term safety and resilience.
Breaking Key Technologies to Enhance Bridge Resilience — Our Company Participates in R&D Project Awarded Top Industry Prize
Recently, our company participated in the project “Key Technologies and Applications for Enhancing the Safety and Resilience of Large-Span Steel Cable-Supported Bridges”, which was awarded the 2025 Scientific and Technological Progress Top Prize by the China Steel Structure Association. This recognition marks an important breakthrough in our core technologies for large-span bridge resilience and lays a solid foundation for our continued development in bridge structural safety.

Chengdu, China — Recently, the crawler-type intelligent inspection robot for steel box girder interiors, jointly developed by Datong Company, the Research Center for Highway and Long-Span Bridge Construction Technology of CCCC , the Greater Bay Area Mega Bridge Maintenance Technology Center , and Tsinghua University, has achieved remarkable recognition on both domestic and international stages.
