1. Principle
   DTS bearings are connection devices, which ensure the controlled transfer of loads between the superstructure and substructure.
   They can accommodate rotations about any axis and appropriate movements, due to the spherical calottes in corresponding
   concave lower parts.
2. Structure
 
   Basin plate: has a concave spherical PTFE sliding sheet on the upper surface, as a sliding element.
   Convex plate: is able to slide with the under PTFE sliding sheet in a low friction, while facilitating rotations about any axis.
   PTFE sliding sheet and Stainless steel plate: The friction coefficient of these two parts remains at a low level, which accommodate
   longitudinal and transverse sliding movements of the superstructures.
  Top plate: It helps to keep the flatness of SS cover flat and plays a supporting role.
3. Application and Advantage.
   DTS bearings are more suitable for long-span bridges, wide range bridge, curved bridge and ramping bridge.
   DTS bearings are designed for high vertical, horizontal and lateral loads and where large rotational structural displacements need
   to be accommodated.
4. Types.
   According to ^GB/T17955-2009 ̄ ,^EN1337-7 ̄ and ^BS5400 -9 ̄, DTS bearings are classified into:
  DTSF !!fixed bearing, no sliding movements are allowed, while resisting horizontal forces in every direction.

  DTSS !!guided sliding bearing, only sliding movements along one restricted horizontal axis are allowed, and resisting

   vertical forces in the perpendicular direction.

  DTSM !!free sliding bearing, horizontal sliding movements along all directions are allowed, and resisting no forces in

   any direction.
5. Raw Material.
  All steel should be Grade Q235 or S355 steel.
  Sliding materials should be certified with grease dimples.
  Lubricant should be certified silicone
  Plate of the calotte¨s surface should be printed hard chromium.
  The material used for stainless steel plate should be as good as grade 1.4401 or grade 1.4311.
6. Fixing devices.
   In order to connect the superstructure and substructure, the fixing devices can¨t be ignored, such as anchor dowels, threaded
   sockets,and anchor plates with shear studs. Generally speaking, anchor dowels are used for guided bearings and fixed bearings,
   while the threaded sockets for the free-sliding bearings without anchor plates.

9. Certification.
   All DTS bearings are manufactured and designed in accordance with ^EN1337 2004, BS5400 or AASHTO LRFD bridge
   construction specifications ̄.
   With ^CE ̄ mark on every single DTS bearing, it proves that the bearings satisfy all necessary requirements.
