1. Principle.
  FPB !! Friction Pendulum Spherical Bearings work on the principle of a pendulum. FPB bearing can reduce the impact from the
ground motion to the structure by providing a required shift in seismic events; while the isolators help to decouple. After the seismic
events, the gravity will bring the structure and the bearing back to the specified positions.

  FPB bearings is popular with its simple structure, good quality, stable properties and cheap price.
  Besides, FPB bearings can be used in all kinds of bridge structures, especially in earthquake areas. In regular days, FPB bearings
can work as normal spherical bearing. Once earthquake comes, it will clip the shear pins, and show the pendulum function.

6. Raw Materials.
  Reinforcing plates, the top and bottom plates are made from steel grade Q235 or Q345 in accordance with ^AASHTO LRFD
bridge design specifications ̄ or CE1337 standard.
  Elastomeric materials are made from natural rubber, type ^NR ̄, grade3 as ASTM d4014-81.
7. Corrosion prevention.
  FPB bearing executes corrosion prevention systems according to EN ISO 12944. Specific corrosion work depends on its location,
environment, and the need of customers.
